Trump of Arabia

What you get if you mix Donald Trump and Fox News ? You will get a priceless racist ignorant interview !!

Trump of Arabia

“Arab countries would not even exist without us !!” Where shall I start !!? Shall I start with the fact that there are Arab countries or rather nations existed before the United States !!? In fact I do not think that I will bother to comment on this man because his answers show arrogance and ignorance , it seems that he educated himself about the history the region through watching Laurence of Arabia !!

The American administration did not get involved in Kuwait for the sake of humanity and all this jazz of world peace but for the oil and the fact it got a foothold in the MENA to protect Israel , it was a golden opportunity. Kuwait paid and is still paying unfairly a tough price from its oil and its land because of its liberation.  Seriously if it were up to me , I would thank the Americans for their effort and ask them to leave the Gulf , already  as it seems that the Peninsula shield force can protect the Gulf now with the arms more than any place in the world !!

To be honest I respected only that he just jumped to the point and said that it is all about the oil because I have news to Trump : We know that the American administration only cares for Oil , it is an old fact , go back to your TV Show !!

I hope that the Sheikhs of UAE especially in Dubai do not invite this racist ignorant man again in Emirates again for any reason or any event for the sake of their dignity.

Speaking about Fox News Why does nobody dare to ask Prince Talal Bin Aziz’s opinion about his son’s partnership with Murdoch !?

Dear SCAF Change your PR Policies ASAP For the Sake of Egypt

I think I have been clear in my criticism to the SCAF , they are not helping us to help them , in fact they made every mistake in the book to make suspect their intentions when it come to the future of this country. Part of the SCAF’s problem is their media policies , the army PR during the Mubarak days.
The man who operates the media policies of the SCAF , the man who operates its PR is none other than major general Ismail Etman. Etman is now considered by a considerable number of politicians and activists in the country now as the defecto minister of information despite officially this position does not exist anymore. In fact some even has got a little further and considered him from the counter revolution due to his statements about certain incidents “virginity tests and faculty of mass communication sit in
Every time we try not to worry from his statements and start to focus in rebuilding our nation again , we find again more statements that make us not only worry but angry from the SCAF.
Last week Egyptian TV host/political activist/presidential candidate Bouthina Kamel was summoned to meet Etman at the morale affairs HQ in order to clear some of the facts there. Kamel told him about the virginity tests and his answer was as follows :
The girls were sleeping with the boys  in Tahrir square
and that
Some human rights organizations and NGOs are agents for foreign parties and get paid by US dollar in Tahrir  !!!
This is so Mubarak security language in a disgusting way , the same terrible ugly language. Of course I will not be shocked or surprised if he said this because in the end Etman is a military PR man not politics PR , he was taught and trained politics during the Mubarak era. Bouthina Kamel is the wife of our current minister of culture Emad Abu El-Ghazi by the way, she has no reason to lie.
Now I demand that Etman goes live on air face to face with Kamel and to say this with an evidence , oh yes we want to see the documents that show that human rights activists are getting paid by US dollars and how the boys used to sleep with girls in Tahrir square. We had enough already from this accusation during the Mubarak era. The Mubarak orphans are already using these old accusations to defame the revolution and the revolutionaries not to mention to discredit any human rights reports regarding the crimes of the Mubarak era. They only need this statement so they would say to the rest of the Egyptian people “ hey even your beloved trusted army says the same thing !!”
This mindset , this Mubarak military mindset can not continue with these responsibilities not only in the new Egypt but in the current time. This media policies are harming the Egyptian army in Post revolution Egypt. This parenthood language has to be changed ASAP , this policies of producing tasteless songs about Egypt , the army and the people should be changed ASAP. We are not children anymore.
What I really fear from is that we do not know how many members in the SCAF think in the same way and this is the other part of the SCAF’s problem : communication. Talking with selected political groups that only represent a small percentage from the Egyptian people. “ We are 85 million people for God sake” . The SCAF is acting in a military way , they do not want anyone civilian or anyone they do not know and trust very well in the operations room !!
These short statements on Facebook are good for the military world but not for the political civilian world , we need more than these short statements. Already having a Facebook page for the SCAF to communicate shows part of this communication problem !! Why do not you have a whole proper multi language website for God sake with sections for official statements and for contact. For God you are the SCAF of the Egyptian army , the Egyptian army deserves the best !!!The Egyptian youth is not the Facebook youth and the Egyptian revolution is not a Facebook revolution , this is so silly.
Back to Etman , well the statements of Major general are not only what make us worry , we got his other policies in the media.
El Manawy in that TV appearance where Etman
praised him live for his patriotic role
Example 1:  When Yahia El Gamal says that we could change him “before stating that he is like a standing unmovable mount” but could not change El Manawy meant that. We all know that the SFAC did not forget how El Manawy saved the day in the last 48 hours before Omar Soliman’s final announcement but we did not forget his constant lies during the Mubarak era and early days of the revolution. Of course the army had to sacrifice him and at last Abdel Latif El Manawy left the Maespero building and probably will live the country to head to London again.
Example 2: Insisting on Sami El Sherif , many ERTVU employees do not want him and they are not few still according to some El Sherif is backed by Etman. According to some rumor Sami El Sherif is the cousin of Etman. I do not know if it is true or not but it is then we have returned back to the people of trustworthy  instead of the people of expertise theory that brought us backwards.
Example 3: The editor in chief of MENA press agency was allegedly the agency’s military correspondent and had an office at the morale department HQ. Trustworthy people again !!
Example 4: Some journalists and reporters say that Etman is intervening in the freedom of information and what to be published and what not to be published. There was  letter circulating in the media allegedly from the Morale department signed by Etman. I got a scan from this letter from an anonymous source and I have read it , here is its translation :
The Morale Affairs Department expresses its sincere greetings and its appreciation of your fruitful and constructive co-operation with your Armed Forces. In light of this co-operation, we kindly request that you notify the different departments at your estimable institution of the necessity to refrain from publishing any items –stories, news, announcements, complaints, advertisement, pictures—about the Armed Forces or to Commanders of the Armed Forces without first referring to the Morale Affairs Department and the Department of Military Intelligence and Information Gathering, as these are the authorities specialized in reviewing such matters, and that is to ensure the homeland safety and security.
With my best wishes for your continued success.
22/03/2011
Major-General Ismail Muhammad Etman

It is normal that we can’t publish everything we want about the army affairs in the media , there are rules and regulations even in the greatest democracies around the world . You can not write in an obituary a rank from the army or the intelligence except  after the approval of the military intelligence , this something  anyone familiar with obituaries policies in Egyptian press you know it.“ I know why and when this policy was applied” Still I do not get the part about the army commanders whom logically are the members of the SCAF or the part concerning complains, again a short important vague statement. The complains we see now about the army are actually the pleas of civilians prosecuted in military tribunals and unfortunately this is the only way they can make their voice reach to the SCAF as in several cases “Already I am amazed that these civilians were prosecuted in matter of days while they have been released yet or cases have been revised !!”
Now to the SCAF or the army commanders , well we do not care about their news in the army but we care now about their policies in the SCAF , they are our army junta now , it is natural and healthy to keep an eye on them. We will not repeat the mistakes of 1952 and we will not make from the SCAF a false idol again. Already for those who know the history of this era well, will tell you how the Egyptian press began to lose its freedom in the 1950s day after day. Only in 2011 we began to liberate the Egyptian media not only press and we know it will be one hell of job after more than 60 years of regime censorship.
When this letter found its way outside the editing and desk rooms of newspapers and TV channels , we found the SCAF issuing its 42 statement on the Facebook assuring the following that :
  • Since the January 25th revolution the SCAF does not interfere in the policies of any type of media
  • The media in Egypt has the absolute freedom to cover and publish any issue in the country and to accept the consequences of this coverage in front of the society according to its integrity. “Means a lot”
  • All the decrees taken by the council are published
  • The ultimate aim of the SCAF is to make the Egyptian media restore its leading role in the Arab and Islamic world.
Reactive policy !!? Another problem.
It is worth to mention that Abdel Halim Kandeel , the renewed political activist and the Sawt El Oma editor in chief was summoned from couple of weeks to the morale department HQ because of his criticism and accusation to the SCAF of standing between the people and the prosecution of the Mubaraks. “ He also attacked Major general Mamdouh Shahin when the later lost his temper on air and reminded us that we could be like Yemen and Libya !!”Nothing happened to Kandeel though as far as I know.
Last week we found El Fagr newspaper’s journalist Rasha Azab being summoned to the military prosecutor as well , she will go there this week as far as I know . Azab has been very vocal and outspoken critic about the Egyptian army. She had a first hand experience for what happened at the Egyptian museum.
Back to Etman again , he can be an excellent in military PR and morale department inside the army but again this era demands a new policy , it will not harm the SCAF to use media experts from Egypt "If the council is good in its intentions but feels that there is communication problem with the civilian world"
Some army generals came in the past few days and said that we are not grateful and I will dare to say that we are grateful to the Egyptian army and are not grateful yet to the SCAF as revolution has not ended yet. The revolution has not succeeded , we will be grateful to the SCAF when we have a real civilian democratic life. We will not be grateful to anyone who will stand against our quest for better Egypt whether intentionally or unintentionally from radical powers using religion or SCAF or even the revolutionaries themselves.

Syrian Revolution : Another Anger Friday , Another day "Graphic"

Here it is another Friday , another day in Syria full of anger , full of fear and also full of death ghost. The Syrians are escaping to Jordan and to Lebanon for fear of getting killed by the El Assad army.
Things are escalating from bad to worse starting from last Week and the entrance of the Syrian army to Daraa.
Anger Friday /Leave Bashar
from Homs
Today we got news that units from the infamous Republican guards headed by Maher El Assad are surrounding Damascus with machine guns. Army tanks have allegedly entered Aleppo. As usual people are getting killed by the hands of the security forces , I have just read that a 10 years old girl was killed in Latakia along with other 4 citizens and 20 injured. There is reportedly a new massacre in Daraa in the Sheikh area. Updated  : Reports saying that between 15 -23 have been reportedly killed in Daraa , about 15 dead bodies have arrived to one of the hospitals there with the bullets of the Syrian security forces. AFP speaks about 16 dead bodies at the entrance of Daraa , according to our dear Syrian brothers these are the bodies from Hauran , the city of Hauran. The brave citizens of Hauran came with food and medicine supplies and wanted to break the siege but instead they were killed.
It is worth to remind the world that Daraa has been living under a terrible siege , the El Assad forces got rid from food medicine and children milk in order to blackmail the defiant citizens. The people are not allowed to leave the city , this week Arab viewers from the Gulf to the ocean listened to the crying plea of Daraa MP's son on BBC Arabic to El Assad family in order to let the women and children out of Daraa.  The world of course is watching in silence. Even Amnesty International is asking his excellency President Bashar El Assad to stop the bloodshed !! I do not know if this is a bad joke or what.
BBC Arabic says the Mosques across Syria are being closed by the orders of the regime and the Emams were put under house arrest. Things from Daraa are not good at all , people are escaping to Jordan to the level that the Jordanian decided to allocate some schools in the borders towns to the coming Syrian refugees.
There are protests in several areas across the country in Homs , Aleppo , Latakia , Idlib , Deir ez-Zor , Al Hasakah ,Hama, Ar-Raqqah , Rif Dimashq and Damascus itself. Thousands if not hundreds of thousands are protesting today against the Syrian regime.
From Qamishli in Al Hasakah governorate
"ShamNN"
Here are couple of videos from several different areas in Syria from short awhile ago. You can hear clearly that the people want to topple the regime there.
From Homs : Live ammunition used against peaceful protesters
From Latakia
From Idlib
From Damascus
From Hama
From Hauran
From Baniyas
There are several areas in Syria with no electricity or no communication , it is Daraa or Daraya but also in several areas in Rif Dimashq. There are areas completely isolated from the world as far as I am reading news from Syria.
Here is a live stream from Syria , it is not live currently but it was live from couple of hours ago. Speaking of the royal wedding today the Syrian ambassador was not invited to the Wedding because of the violent crackdown for the Syrian revolution. Unfortunately this has been the only serious reaction taken so far from the West concerning Syria.
The League of Arab states is going to held a foreign ministers meeting soon to discuss the Syrian issue according to its spokesperson ,one has to wonder if Amr Moussa has got time for this , the man is busy in his presidential campaign !!
Hisham Youssef : LAS will move to Syria
Currently there is a protest in Cairo in front of the LAS HQ at Tahrir square in solidarity with Syria and Libya. Also yesterday there was a protest in front of the Syrian embassy in Giza just like the one held last Tuesday.
The Syrian parliament has been hacked today , this is a screen shot for the website while it was hacked.
The Hacked Syrian parliament official website
Op-Anonymous already promised last week to hack official Syrian websites in solidarity with Syria and the people of Daraa in their new #OpSyria.

The Syrian army claims that today 4 soldiers were killed radical Salafi groups in Daraa while the revolutionaries are claiming that these 4 soldiers were executed because they refused to open their fires against the citizens in Daraa.
There is also news that some officer was executed in either Hama or Aleppo , I am not sure in which city but he was allegedly executed for refusing to open his fire against the citizens.
The question is where the 5th battalion in Daraa which defected and we had seen their videos last week !!? Could not they do something !?
FYI more and more officers are defected , here is a video from Hauran from couple of days showing the injured and dead army officers that were attacked by security forces for no obeying the orders and opening their fire on the protests.
Update :
Damascus is currently witnessing several protests according to eye witnesses that are being crack downed by tear gas grenades.

Not less than 5 were killed in the city of Homs.
The Security forces are reportedly losing control on the city of Hama. This video below shows the people of Hama encircling the Governorate HQ building where the security forces took refugee !!
The purification process from the presidential cult in Syria is still going , more cities are self-liberating its land form the ugly statues of El Assad clan.
Update #2 @ 8:07 PM Cairo local time :
  • According to AP human rights groups in Syria say that not less than 42 civilians have been killed in Syria today by the security forces. Some tweeps online say that these 42 civilians are from Daraa and Doma while other tweeps say that 38 were killed only in Daraa by 4 PM !!!!!
  • According to Reuters human rights activists say that only in Daraa , in one hospital there are not less than 83 dead bodies among them women and children that were killed in the past 4 days only !!
  • There is news coming from Homs , Al Rastan to be specific that there has been a terrible massacre against the civilians there committed by the security forces. The hospitals allegedly are prepared to receive that large number of victims.
  • The mobile phones and landlines are reportedly working again in Doma
  • The UN has decided to send a fact finding mission to Syria along with condemnation to what happened against civilians.
  • The US has imposed sanctions on Syrian regime.
  • Here is a video showing the attack on protesters at the eastern entrance of Daraa "Graphic content"
  • Here are two videos from Ma'arat Al-Nu'man in Idlib showing the live ammunition used against the unarmed peaceful protesters and how a young was killed in the protest there by a gun shot in his head. "Graphic content"

  • Here is an old shocking video taken from a week or more , showing the citizens using the meat freezers to keep the dead bodies of their relatives because the morgues were full. The people were not allowed to bury their beloved ones in their cemeteries because of snipers, they buried them in their homes.

  • Not less than 200 Syrian refugees have passed to Turkey today.
  • The estimated number of people killed today across Syria according to activists is not less than 100.
  • That shocking video below is from Daraa , I do not know when it was shot but it was uploaded today showing an old man killed there. It is extremely graphic.
  • The EU has agreed to impose sanctions on Syria.
  • Here is a video from El-Rastan in Homs showing the citizens transferring the injured to the hospital.

PM Sharaf in University of Kuwait

PM Sharaf had a meeting with the Egyptian community in Kuwait at the university of Kuwait , here are video clips from the meeting. Our prime minister had an overwhelming reception there. Egyptians kept chanting ‘Raise your head , your Egyptian’.

PM enters, Kuwaiti professor introduction and part of Sharaf’s word

This meeting was arranged by the faculty of business administration , university of Kuwait , it was originally a meeting between Sharaf and the faculty staff but it turned in to successful meeting between the Egyptian expats and their prime minister.

The Egyptians asked the prime minister to change the Egyptian ambassador and the staff of the Egyptian embassy because they were not helping the Egyptians in Kuwait and they treated them badly.

The Egyptian embassy officials already told the Egyptian expats in Kuwait that that meeting was a closed one between Sharaf and the university staff only !! One of the Egyptian students told Sharaf that they wanted to close the Egyptian embassy as it was useless.

Egyptian student in university of Kuwait demands the closure of the Egyptian embassy

The Egyptian expats also criticized the board of the Egyptian community in Kuwait made of 40 persons only they do not know anything about. Usually the heads of the Egyptian communities abroad were pro-Mubarak regime. One of the Egyptian expats proposed that the Egyptians abroad should have the right to elect their community’s board as it is unfair to be able to elect the president and not to elect the community’s board. “It is actually a great idea.”

The Egyptian embassy and the Egyptian community in Kuwait board

I believe the meeting was successful one and it shows how popular Sharaf is , it is a huge responsibility he must understand it fully. Now it is a matter of time when we will find a new Egyptian ambassador in Kuwait insh Allah.

Now before I move on from Kuwait , I share with you with my all apology in advance Ahmed El-Jaralla’'s op-ed “Yes for Egypt the secure and no for Egypt Tora” condemning the detention of 300 Egyptian businessmen in Tora prison “ Unrealistic number with no doubt” in a pathetic way just like his career. It is not my conspiracy theory mind as the man says he can’t forget what Mubarak did in the Gulf war !!

Acquaintance - Get Acquainted

Sunny feelgood pop/soul on a obscure label. I rather like it, has a happy naive swedish vibe to it. Heavily influenced by The Gimmicks I assume.

This is what I call indecent proposal !!

Guardian has published a report about SS documents it has got from Egypt about proposals from British Gamma international to provide the Egyptian government with systems to hack our emails and Skype accounts through its Finfisher Spy software.
Here are the leaked documents , I had their link for months but I forgot to publish them.
Gamma's Anti-Skype Finfisher Spy Software
From its side Gamma international denied to the Guardian that it had supplied the Egyptian regime with any software or system or training , of course they have to say to so.
Now this is what I call indecent proposal , serious indecent proposal because Gamma knew that  its magical software would be used against the Egyptian people by a police state , a corrupted state !! Did Gamma sales executives think for one second that this software would be used against the Qaeda terrorists !!? Did Gamma sales executives think that the Mubarak regime was working according the law and spied on the citizens by a court order !!!?
I believe now there is a new challenge for activists and politicians on how they can communicate and it is not about Egypt but it is about every single country in the world that suffers from the disease we had and still have in general in the middle east. The last thing we have been introduced lately in the Syrian revolution was to the Syrian Spam bots.
It is a challenge not only to activists but to developers and normal users as well when it comes to privacy.
Of course in Egypt we believe in the manual manpower thus the orphans of the electronic committee in the NDP are doing their job up till now , it is about the LE 1500 per month they have lost  !!

Et Toi Kuwait !?

It seems that Hosni Mubarak has not got only media orphans in Egypt but he also got media orphans in the Arab world. Strangely and amazingly at the same time PM Sharaf was visiting Kuwait we found some Kuwaiti media outlets launching that provoking campaign in solidarity with Mohamed Hosni Mubarak aka Bou Alaa !!!!!!!!!!!!First we got this strange paid ad by some Egyptian lawyer living in Kuwait asking PM Sharaf to pardon Mubarak because of his age and the fact the biggest punishment for him is stepping down !!!!!!!!!?
On behalf of almost all Egyptians in Kuwait
Boldly enough this lawyer speaks on behalf of almost all Egyptians there !!! Who gave him the right to speak on behalf of them !!
Then we got this strange daily campaign on air in "Scoop" TV channel where the TV host and his alleged unbiased callers are attacking the revolutionary youth and the army. Here are two clips from the TV show. the TV host speaks to one of those Mubarak supporters camping at the ERTVU building. They are so provoking and stupid at the same time.
Who are you so you claim that you do not accept the humiliation of Hosni Mubarak ? And what are these provoking SMS at the News bar !! "Egyptians forgot the favors of their father and President !!" Who said that  Mubarak was our father , enough of this old parenthood talk in politics that brought us backwards !!!? Mubarak is not Papa Gaber may Allah bless his soul !? Or even worse "Why are you insulting President Mubarak !!? He did not shot his people like Qaddafi !!?" Are you kidding me !!? there are 864 Egyptians killed from January 25th till February 11th in Egypt because of Mubarak and his son according to the official investigations.
I do not understand if this is ignorance or what !!? Of course my conspiracy theory mind is telling me that I should not be surprised to find Ahmed El-Garallah behind this stupid disgusting campaign as he has now lost an important source of income !!
Some will say that the Kuwaitis did not forget for Mubarak what he had done during the Iraqi invasion , well with my all due respect this was what anyone would have done in his place , Nasser would have done it and Sadat would have done it. If anyone the Kuwaitis should thank for the Gulf , it should be the Egyptian army and the Egyptian People. The Egyptian army was the one that fought in the Gulf war not Mubarak !!
FYI we have not known till now how many Egyptian officers and soldiers were killed during the liberation of Kuwait and despite all the debate about the liberation of Kuwait and the intervention of foreign Western forces , I am proud that the Egyptian army stood with his Arab people as it should. By the way one of the possible presidential candidate in Egypt is Lt.General Mohamed Belal who led the Egyptian army in Kuwait.
This Scoop TV channel is insulting both the Egyptian revolutionaries , the Egyptian army and I will dare to say our martyrs !!!
I do not underestimate the impact of this show because I found Kuwaiti tweeps standing with Mubarak and against his imprisonment pending investigation. The media plays an important role here.
It is shameful and disgusting when a country like Kuwait with a distinguished democratic political experience in Gulf to disrespect our quest and fight to democracy in this way. Already we have not forgotten what the Kuwaiti government did to ElBaradei support campaigners in the country. "ElBaradei is from the top Presidential candidates in Egypt now"
This is too  much to tolerate and unfortunately the people in Gulf do not know how much the people in Egypt are extremely angry because of what they heard from alleged Saudi and Emirati pressure on the SCAF and the government.
For weeks now we had rumors that the Gulf countries are pressing the SCAF not to touch Mubarak and his family , for weeks Egypt has nothing to speak about except the alleged Saudi and Emirati threats to the SCAF despite all the denials from the SCAF and the Saudi ambassador followed by the Emirati ambassador.Still it is in vain as the majority of the Egyptians believe that the Gulf countries led by Saudi Arabia blackmails the SCAF , the majority of Egyptians not the majority of the revolutionary youth.
It started with rumors that the Mubaraks and their entourage transferred their money to the banks of Saudi Arabia and UAE then the threats from both countries to send back the Egyptian expats to Egypt if Mubarak was touched then to withdraw the Gulf investments from Egypt then the Saudi funding to the Salafists and radical Islamic groups in Egypt in order to turn it in another Afghanistan then the rumor about the Emirati visas in Egypt. Just today El Wafd weekly issue had this front page headline today "Suzanne Mubarak wants a mediation from Gulf to release her husband in return of some ransom !!"
Needless to there is no smoke without a fire and here we got the Hussein Salem's national treasures and how we found them leaving the country with the alleged help of some Saudi prince then came the cancellation of the UAE visit during Sharaf's GCC tour to add more fuel to the fire at the valley of the Nile.
With documents

Seriously speaking the Egyptian Iranian relations file and the Gulf businessmen's corruption files are what can affect our relations despite I believe the GCC will not be harmed if we have an open channel with Iran.Iran already began to have a strong position in the world when Egypt was losing power thanks to Mubarak's pathetic regional policies. PM Sharaf has already made clear to the GCC and the whole world that the security of the Gulf is from the security of Egypt.
The best thing about the Gulf businessmen's corruption file can be summarized in Prince Talal Bin Abdel Aziz said to his son Prince Al Walid about the Toshka
Egypt is more important million times than Toshka.
Already this is just the tip of the ice berg for Al Walid , many Egyptians are too annoyed for having our cinematic , musical and radio archives under the mercy of Murdoch and News Corp. I hope that he returns back this archive.
I will remind the rulers of the Gulf with the famous Prophet Mohamed's quote about stealing and his daughter Fatimah.
Beautiful avatar made
by our brothers in Gulf
There are also fears that the Egyptian revolution would be exported to the Gulf , the thing which unfortunately Essam Sharaf denied. "Many disliked his statement including me".  The Egyptian revolution which is partially imported from Tunisia is not a disease , people do not revolt for no reason , the GCC regimes should understand this. I am from the people who know that the concept of copy cat revolutions and exporting them is a myth and the Iranian revolution
The GCC regimes should not be afraid from the Egyptian revolution and its impact if they believe that they are fine and do not complain from anything from one hand and from other hand they should realize that nothing is forever and sooner or later the political changes taking the region by storm. Fighting the Egyptian revolution will not stop that storm or hurricane.
Again the Egyptians are extremely angry for what they believe an intervention in our internal issues , many Egyptians believe that Sheikhs and Princes of the Gulf are among those funding and support counter revolution , many Egyptians believe that some in the Gulf want Egypt to remain beggar and poor.We want our new relation with the Gulf will be based on mutual respect , we do not want some drunken young man from powerful in the Gulf to hit and run not to mention to kill someone in Egypt and leave in the next flight , we do not want that. We do not want our media to have this bad perception about the Gulf when we got amazing examples we are all proud of there.
To the Gulf countries whether people or rulers , Egypt and Egyptians want to start new era and we know that it is better that you stand with us and our new Egypt if you truly believe in Egypt and its true role in the region. The new Egypt re-born in the revolution believes in Pan Arabism, the question is how much the GCC rulers believe in Pan Arabism !?

Tamim El-Barghouti’s latest Poem : The people of Egypt

Palestinian Egyptian Poet and political analyst Tamim El Barghouti wrote a new poem about Egypt , Egyptian people and the Egyptian revolution of January 25th in Egyptian dialect. Least thing I can say about it that it is wonderful and great.

Tamim El-Barghouti : The people of Egypt

Tamim El Barghouti has just received the Egyptian nationality at last , he has got now an Egyptian passport in the new Egypt.

I can’t forget Tamim’s poem in Egyptian dialect during the revolution “Just couple of day” , I can’t forget how I felt when I heard it read by the protesters at Tahrir square.

Part of Tamim El-Barghouti’s poem at Tahrir square on February 4th

Here is the poem read by Tamim El-Barghouti on January 28th,2011.

Tamim El-Barghouti : Just couple of days

So Why did it take all those years General Soliman !!?

Suddenly with no introductions we found this very important news yesterday : Fatah and Hamas have reconciled through Egyptian mediation.

The Palestinian file is still at the Egyptian intelligence so far as our Spy chief Mourad Muwafi mediated the talks in silence successfully. We all hope that Nabil El-Araby takes it from here with my all respect to Muwaif and the GIS.  We all underestimated Muwafi , he manage in doing what Omar Soliman failed to do in years in just 3 months or even less !!! One must wonder why did Omar Soliman take all those years and failed while Muwafi managed in less than three months !!? The reputation of Soliman as powerful negotiator is a myth as far as I see !!

It seems that we have heard that Soliman and Mubarak did not want Hamas and Fatah to reconcile in order to have an Upper hand is true after all !!

This is the biggest victory in our regional policies after the revolution , seriously speaking I am so happy and proud. I hope now that Fatah or rather Abu Mazan does not try to spoil it as usual. Abu Mazan has already been so sad for what happened to Mubarak in a disgusting way as he related to him.

Israel is so angry for this important reconciliation and foolishly making it clear through its PM stinky Bibi : It is either us or Hamas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ironically it is better for Israel that Fatah and Hamas reconcile and bringing Hamas to the political arena. Of course knowing how an invader thinks , the divide conquer policy is always better than facing a united front , this is how the invader thinks not how the peacemaker thinks !!

Spy chief Muwafi has got a lot of files to handle and damages by Soliman to fix , after all Soliman served as our Spy chief for more than any other Spy chief including the founding father of GIS Zakira Mohi El-Din himself. The GIS has got now a terrible legacy from Soliman it has to deal with wisely and that’s the rendition and torture files. An ex-Gitom Australian citizen is already suing Omar Soliman and Gamal Mubarak ‘!?’ for his alleged torture in Egypt during the rendition program bloody days. I think this is just the tip of the ice berg for Soliman can face , the army may sacrifice him at any given time especially if he and his family especially his sons in law are involved in any financial scandals.

Back to Muwafi , from the American media I think the Americans are cautious when it comes to the new spy chief, there is nothing much we know about him from there , they have missed a great friend and ally called Omar Soliman with no doubt.

The Americans were so alarmed when he visited Damascus last month followed to Qatar and they reportedly contacted him when Ayman El-Zawahary’s brother was released to express their concern and fear. Of course Mohamed El-Zawarhary was re-arrested but he was not executed according to the SCAF statement.

The Spy chief should be the mysterious man in the state , Omar Soliman broke the rule to become the second most controversial spy chief after the notorious Saleh Nasser !!

I wish Muwafi all the luck in the world if he sincerely wants to make the GIS returns back to its original mission which is “protecting this nation and its people not the president and his entourage”. I do not want the intelligence to be working for the president but rather for the people of Egypt who will bring the president to his office. I want and wish that Muwafi will be the first Egyptian Spy chief to stand in front of the national security in the coming elected parliament and speak about the intelligence like in any other democratic country.

The Impossibles - Give It Up

This group sure choose the right name, their releases are damn hard to find. For some reason this thai group was touring scandinavia in the 70s and after a successful tour they recorded this LP in my hometown, Gothenburg. This is a swedish only release and its got some tight funk tracks on it, mostly covers but I think its well done and this raw version of Kool and the gangs Give it up is amazing with a B-Boy breaks vibe to it.
