Saturday, May 1st, our players truly showed their commitment to being Austin College Men. The city of Sherman will have fireworks on the 4th of July for the first time in untold years, and the Austin College football team did a huge part in bringing those plans to fruition. The team got together at 8am on Saturday morning at Pecan Grove Park and cleared away brush and foliage so that the City of Sherman can move forward with Phase II of the park. The guys had a great time sweating, working and bonding while avoiding being stuck by mesquite tree thorns. The City of Sherman greatly appreciated the efforts of these Austin College Men.
