USC LB Jarvis Jones will transfer to UGA or FSU
So says the AJC's Michael Carvell. Jarvis Jones was a highly touted LB prospect out of Columbus-Carver in Georgia. Scout.com rated him the #3 LB prospect in his class, Rivals had him as the #4 LB prospect. Jones was granted his release by Lane Kiffin in early June before the NCAA threw down the hammer on USC. Jones was impressive early on at USC last year as a freshman but then suffered a neck injury that caused him to miss their last 5 games. He was unable to participate in spring practice because of the injury. Jones will be taking recruiting trips to both UGA and FSU and will make a decision at the end of the month. If his neck checks out this could be a huge coup for the Dawgs if they can land him. Since UGA moved to the 3-4 we need as many LBs as we can get.
