What happened to PHD's Tut Amon deal still puzzles me because it did not stop at that presidential decree which made the famous real estate development company lose LE 400 million according to its CEO , Yassin Mansour only as the presidential decree and what followed it from debate about minister Magherbi was just the start.
Last week we found Dostor daily exposing a new scandal in the ministry of housing , in brief the current minister of housing Ahmed Al-Magherbi has sold to his cousin's company nearly one million square meter at New Cairo for LE 250 per square meter !! The real market value for the land is more than LE 5 billion and PHD bought it for LE 241 million !!!PHD has already got 6 projects in New Cairo.
Yassin Mansour has denied this dangerous accusation which was supported by documents , claiming that the land was allocated to PHD since the days of Ibrahim Soliman. Ironically enough Ibrahim Soliman is facing allegations of corruption already.
Despite the good intentions of Dostor daily , one must wonder if these documents were leaked from the regime itself , from the NDP itself for the elections season !!?? Again I do not suspect the intentions of Dostor Daily , on the contrary in fact because it is a respectable popular independent newspaper the NDP may have leaked indirectly these documents to the journalists there to hide any involvement with the matter especially that the Dostor Daily is anti-regime newspaper.
The elections time is here and the regime needs a sacrifice , a good yet big scapegoat in order to save some of its dignity and to appear as the patriotic regime which puts the nation's best interest above all !! The regime knows that the people are fed up with the corruption of the businessmen cabinet thus it will not harm to sacrifice some of these businessmen ministers in order to satisfy the public. Maghrabi will not be in the next ministry and be sure of that
Mansour and Maghrabi group is guilty indeed and I am sure that when this regime goes down , we will even know more scandals as this is just the beginning.
