Will not the regime be happy for those clashes in the opposition and the attack on Dr. ElBaradei that reached to the level of treason from inside the opposition itself !!??Is not this what the regime exactly wants and failed to do !!?? It is great to outsource it for sure.
The American Ambassador in Cairo ,Margaret Scooby visited ElBaradei in his house last Saturday as you may have known , the controversy came from the fact that the meeting was not declared except after 3 days from the American Embassy itself.
Some parties mainly from the Nasserites, socialists and communists have started attacked him fiercely labeling him the traitor , the American puppet , the regime extension …etc till the end of this talk that we have originally read over and over this from the regime's media.
Unfortunately some of these charges come from Hamden Sabhi presidential campaign , the thing that saddens me a lot because one thing for sure Dr. ElBaradei has made it clear over and over that he does not want the presidency but rather a real political change in this country.
The Presidential race has not started yet and ElBaradei again made it clearly that he will not run if the 7 conditions he and the NFC put are not fulfilled and even if they are fulfilled , he will not run except by the request of the people whom he will respect their choice , if they choose someone , he will support that someone !! What more do you want from him !!??
Unlike some of the Sabhi presidential campaign members and also his enemies , I will not search in his files and history to accuse him of treason because I believe that he is just like ElBaradei wants the best to this country but according to his own ideology which many Egyptians disagree with by the way.
We are so tired from the treason charges that are being thrown because Mr. X met this or that , the same thing we have seen this with Ayman Nour before but this is not Ayman Nour .
We do not know what has gone in that meeting so we would dare and assume that ElBaradei is another American puppet or an extension for the corrupted Mubarak regime , the only two explanations for that visit are :
- The American administration is sending a direct message to the Mubarak regime that it can support ElBaradei
- It is related to previous position in the IAEA.
Regarding the first explanation , well I will not be surprised , in fact it will be foolish from the States to ignore the potentials of the ElBaradei after the public reception he has received. The Obama administration is under huge fire for supporting Mubarak and son in front of a man who wants to transfer the oldest country in the region and its cornerstones from dictatorship world to the free world in a peaceful way.
The Nasserites should rethink about the fastest and easiest allegation they got their diction thanks to Nasserite heritage : The treason because according to their definition Nasser and his follows were traitors who were cooperating with the CIA and Miles Copland. Strangely I do not dare to accuse Nasser and his follows like some do with treason.
Now I am afraid anyone that supports ElBaradei is being labeled as ElBaradei groupie who can't stand anything bad said about Saint ElBaradei , with my all due respect we are not groupies , on the contrary we want to put an end to the President's cult that was implanted in Egypt.
For the sake of Egypt , let's please put a side our difference and focus on what we want , the end of this corrupted regime and having a real democratic real in this country. Can we be civilized and stop this treason charges till we manage to do this !!??
