Since the announcement of Mubarak's quick trip to Paris and the rumors mill concerning his health has returned to move fast , very fast especially when the Al Quds Al Arabi published a report claiming that Mubarak was visiting Paris for quick medical tests related to a tumor. It does not take too much time to think it is related to his benign tumor surgery he had undergone from couple of months ago in Germany but of course due to the fame of Paris in oncology treatment at least in the Middle East and the fact it is a taboo to speak about his health plus his old age , we are rewinding the film we have seen before.
The Israeli media which cares too much for Mubarak's health and reflects the Israeli fear that he would die , made of this report a media sensation there with speculations that he got cancer this time.
Jerusalem Post had published a very interesting headline saying that Mubarak may have cancer and changed it hours later to Mubarak has fallen ill.Then we got DEBAKE's very alarming and unconfirmed report that Mubarak got esophageal cancer.The esophageal cancer treatment depends upon the size the tumor whether it is big or small , in most 20%-30% of the cases the size of the tumor is not that big to allow surgical removal. In some case chemotherapy and radioactive therapy are being used to reduce the tumor in order to decrease its size to allow surgery . Recently laser treatment is used in some cases to reduce the size of the tumor and its pains. In some cases esophagus is removed surgically and is replaced with parts of the colon. Of course it spreads rapidly , there is no hope for survival.
Al Quds Al Arabi and the Israeli media can't be so reliable but one can't deny that the Middle East sick man is not getting any younger but older and sicker. The Israelis are scared on what will happen in Egypt after Mubarak and so these reports may reflect the Israeli concern for their biggest ally in the region.
still his return from Paris , Mubarak has been attending the gradation of War schools . He attended the navy forces school graduation then he has attended the air forces school graduation. Most probably due to the amount of activity he required to do this month from attending war schools graduations , he traveled Paris to get whatever he takes in order to look healthy"as if it really works".
